DescriptionWas unable to visit Radstock. Has met an engineer who said that the "three brothers" [the Hornblowers] had attached a heavy balance bob to lift the engine rods, so the proprietors are convinced the engine is not performing well. The engineer showed him a certificate signed by five colliery proprietors praising John Blanch’s pump work, which Fry feels must be wounding to the Hornblowers.
