Nos. 115-155. Samuel Greg & Co.
Samuel Greg of Quarry Bank Mill, near Wilmslow, Cheshire built bought or acquired interests in several other mills following the success of Quarry Bank. Some of these mills were supplied with Boulton Watt & Co. engines. Following his death these mills continued to operate as Samuel Greg & Co., although they were virtually separate concerns. Quarry Bank Mill was taken over by his son Robert Hyde Greg, who ran it as R. H. Greg & Co. The letters have been arranged by mill in order to present a clearer picture of which engine was where.
