The papers – accounts, memoranda and letters – cover various aspects of Boulton & Watt’s business in Cornwall and their dealings with Wilson. The bundle is divided as follows: Nos. 1-6. Nos. 32 to 42, the accounts of engines, mainly deal with the small rotative engines sold in 1785 to 1786 under the partnership of “Boulton Watt & Co. Cornwall”, which consisted of Matthew Boulton, James Watt, Thomas Wilson and William Murdock.
