| Description | The material in this bundle was assembled during the opposition to the Gas Light & Coke Bill in 1809, when James Watt Jr. and Matthew Robinson Boulton were in London for the proceedings. The bundle was later occasionally added to. Several of the pamphlets are marked “J. Watt Jr.” or “A. Weston” (Ambrose Weston, Boulton Watt & Co.’s attorney in London).
For letters and papers about the opposition to the bill, see the previous bundle, 3/480. |
