| Description | Miscellaneous letters from James Keir, from 1778 to 1780, and three letters from 1786, 1791 and 1796. The letters mainly concern the copying press business, in which Keir was a partner, and engine business, as Keir acted as manager at Soho Manufactory while Boulton and Watt were away. The letters were found among the copying press papers, with the exception of the letter to Watt of 1 November 1779 which had been placed with the Partners’ Correspondence. |
