| Description | Miscellaneous letters from James Keir to James Watt Jr., from 1788 to 1815. The letters of 1789 and 1790 include several references to articles for Keir’s Dictonary of Chemistry, and the later letters concern social engagements. There is also a set of papers from 1788 concering the valuation of the house that Keir was buying from Humphrey Pickering. Keir appears to have passsed these papers to Watt Jr. while Watt Jr. was in Manchester, as in his letter of 3 Dec. 1789 Keir asks Watt Jr. to send him the agreement he made with Pickering. |
