| Description | Letters from Gilbert Meason from 1778 and 1781 to 1785. Gilbert Meason was one of the proprietors of Wanlockhead Mine in Dumfries. Boulton & Watt sold two engines to the mine, one which was erected in 1779, and a replacement engine which was erected in 1785 to 1786.
