| Description | Correspondence relating to Minera Mine, Denbighshire, from 1801 to 1813. Events between July 1799 and January 1801 are unclear, as documents from between those dates are wanting. The mine passed to William Wilkinson and Robert Burton, and Burton was able to report the production of good quality ore in January 1801. Burton and William Wilkinson became partners together in other mining concerns, including the Llanarmon lead mine and Plas Mostyn colliery (3/508). The mines at Minera supplied Boulton Watt & Co. with lead into the 1810s.
For papers relating to the disputes at the mine from 1795 to 1799, see 3/512 to 3/514. For drawings of the engines, see Portfolio 5/552. |
