| AdminHistory | The records listed here are various personal and business records of John Woodward. John Woodward was clerk to Charlotte Matthews, Boulton and the Soho firm’s London banker. Woodward also had trading connections with Jamaica, possibly through his uncle William Voce, who was living there when he died in 1809, and possibly also through the London merchant Joseph Taylor. Following Charlotte Matthews’ death in 1802, Woodward worked for M. & R. Boulton J. & G. Watt & Co., the banking house that the Boultons and Watts established in London. He died in 1810 after being thrown from his horse. |
