1007. Emanuel Lousada, Jamaica (HL). Jun. 1830, Aug. 1853, Jul., Sep. 1856, Sep. 1857, Jun. 1859, Apr. 1866, Aug. 1871. 10 items. 10 horse power independent crank engine, with 19¾ inch cylinder, 2½ foot stroke, parallel motion, cast iron beam, cast iron connecting rod. Also sugar mill roll.

For the Carlisle Estate, Vere, Jamaica. Sugar plantation engine ordered by Emanuel Lousada of London. The engine was originally made in 1825 for Robert Mushet and the Guanaxuato Mint in Mexico [see Portfolio 5/711a].
