10 horse power independent crank engine, with [19¾ inch cylinder, 2½ foot stroke,] parallel motion, cast iron beam, cast iron connecting rod.

Reverse plan of the engine and boiler showing shafts, side view of the engine, cross-section of the engine and boiler, longitudinal section of the boiler; connecting machinery - coloured original and reverse drawings (copies made in Feb. 1843). All the drawings bear letter codes.
Also "Different views of Connecting Machinery required to render available the power of either a Water Wheel or Steam Engine to the same mill as circumstances may require agreeably to the annexed specification" - partially coloured original sent by Davidson Barkly & Co., Feb. 1841, with copy [the original is marked "altered afterwards" and the copy is marked "This arrangement abandoned…"
