Description52 horse power double-acting sun & planet engine, with 35 inch cylinder, 8 foot stroke, parallel motion, 2 fly wheels and rotative shafts.

Includes coloured original and reverse general view of the engine showing pump beam worked by main working beam, coloured original and reverse plans and sections of the engine and boilers, plan taken above the spring beams; reverse sketch plan and sections of the engine and boiler houses showing the engine and connections to the mill, pump beam; parallel motion - coloured original and reverse drawings; working gear - coloured original and reverse front and side views; boiler - reverse longitudinal and cross-sections (with captions also copied in reverse; rotative shaft and wheel teeth, plummer blocks for outer end of rotative shaft, boiler steam and stop pipes and water traps; ground plan of the premises; sections of boiler sent by R. D. [Richard Dayus?] dated 14 Jan. 1802. All the drawings except the last 2 bear letter codes.

For William Tate of Battersea. Malt distillery and brewery, The Neat Houses, Hanover Square, St. George, London. According to the Catalogue of Old Engines the engine was burnt in 1806.
