For Charles Macintosh & Co. Mill, Manchester. The Catalogue of Old Engines states that this engine was alongside the 20 horse boat engine coded MK bought by Macintosh in 1835 [see Portfolio 5/1067]. Macintosh also bought a 30 horse engine, coded LY, in 1837 [see Portfolio 5/1052].
