Inverted engine, with 66 inch cylinder, 9 foot stroke. Engine moved to Tottenham Court Road circa 1851.

For The New River Co. Pumping engine, Broken Wharf, Thames St., London. The engine pumped water from the Thames to New River Head. In 1850-1851 the engine was moved to The New River Co.'s Tottenham Court Road pumping station, where the firm already had a 20 horse independent engine and a 50 horse boat engine [see Pfs. 1087 & 1084].
