Description4 horse power double-acting sun & planet engine, with 11½ inch cylinder, 4 foot stroke, parallel motion. Engine formerly belonged to Charles Gardiner.

Coloured original and reverse general view of the engine, coloured original and reverse plans and sections of the engine and boiler, with one plan showing location of malt house, intended brewhouse etc.; framing and cistern - reverse drawings (drawn in May 1793 and presumably re-used); parallel motion - coloured original drawing; working gear - coloured reverse front and side views; views of the upper end of the connecting rod - coloured original drawing; boiler steam pipe - reverse sketch marked "socket same as Couldery & Banister's, see ordr. 17 Nov. 1789"; plan of two boilers - not dated or coded but appears to be of a later date [1800s?]. All the drawings bear letter codes except the last item.
