Reverse general view of the engine with second or alternative boiler drawn in, coloured original and reverse plans and reverse sections of the engine with second or alternative boiler design pasted on (note there is only 1 coloured original plan); reverse plans and sections of the boiler; framing and cistern - reverse drawings; parallel motion - coloured original drawing; working gear - coloured original drawing. All the drawings bear letter codes.

For David Roberts, Thomas Smith and Thomas Harrington. Corn mill and distillery, Brentford. The concern was also referred to as Roberts Smith & Harrington. The firm became Smith & Harrington circa 1797-1798, and later Smith Harrington & Co.
