For the Bombay Steam Navigation Co., India. The boats were built by Thomas Vernon & Son. Henry Hazleton allocated separate portfolio numbers to both boats, despite the fact that they did not have separate drawings; Surat was Pf. 1205, and Dwarka was Pf. 1206.
