Two 20 horse power side lever boat engines, with 26¾ inch cylinders, 2½ foot strokes.

Section and plan of the boat and engine (this drawing is similar to the "draft" drawings in the Steam Boat Box); section and plan of boiler - drawing made in the London office; cross-section of the boat and engines, longitudinal section of the engine room, general plan of the engine room and gangway, plan of the engine room sleepers, plan of the engine room platform, plan of the engine deck beams, side view of paddle case and gangway wale - reverse drawings made in the London office; sketch of iron knees and stays as executed for the Hawk - coloured drawing made in the London office for the Virgil and Eridano; upper headstock frame - partially coloured original and partially coloured reverse drawings (also used for the Myrtle); paddle wheel and shaft - coloured drawing; plan of the engine room and boiler, longitudinal and cross-sections of the engine room, section of the engine room at the front of the boiler - coloured original and partially coloured reverse drawings. All the drawings except the first item and those made in the London office bear letter codes.

For the Società Privilegiata de' Battelli a Vapore in Milano. The company was often referred to as "The Milan Steam Boat Co." or "The Milan Privileged Steam Boat Co." Several of the drawings were sent to a Mr. Mossotti in Italy, and the agents in London were Doxat & Co. of London. The boat worked on the River Po. It was initially referred to as the "Venice steamer" until it was named Eridano.
