Two 50 horse power side lever boat engines, with 39½ inch cylinder, 3½ foot stroke.

For H. M. Navy. The Meteor was used for towing, and as a ferry and packet boat on Channel services and services to the Mediterranean. She was broken up in 1849. Note that Boulton Watt & Co. provided the engines for a Post Office packet boat, also called Meteor. The Navy boat was usually referred to as the "Navy Meteor" to distinguish the two. |
