Two 50 horse power side lever boat engines, with 39½ inch cylinder, 3½ foot stroke.

"Sketch of the midship section of a Steam Vessel with 2 engines of 50 horses power" - reverse drawing made in the London office; 5 sections through the boat at various stations (the first of these shows a 60 horse engine); section of the boat and engines, section at front of boiler and coal box, section "at Station 12 near aft end of Boiler", longitudinal section of the engine room and boiler, plan of the engine room and boiler - drawings made in the London office; plan of the boiler; paddle wheel and shaft - coloured drawing; working gear and hand pump - coloured original and coloured reverse drawings; longitudinal section and plan of boiler - 2 coloured original and 2 coloured reverse drawings; rough sketch plan of boiler; press copy sketch of wrought iron cranks; sketches of paddle wheels and pipes (2 small sheets sent to the Foundry and stuck together); rough sketch of paddle shaft framing.

For H. M. Navy. The Meteor was used for towing, and as a ferry and packet boat on Channel services and services to the Mediterranean. She was broken up in 1849. Note that Boulton Watt & Co. provided the engines for a Post Office packet boat, also called Meteor. The Navy boat was usually referred to as the "Navy Meteor" to distinguish the two.
