Two 50 horse power side lever boat engines, with 39½ inch cylinders, 3½ foot strokes. Cross-section of the boat and engines, section at after bulkhead, plan of the deck beams and longitudinal section of the engine room, plan of the sleepers etc. - reverse drawings made in the London office; coal boxes - reverse drawing; sections and plan of boiler - partially coloured reverse drawing made in the London office (this drawing was also used for boilers for Carron, Trinity House 50 horse engines for Argus, Cuckoo). She was initially referred to as "Navy No. 8", and her drawings were kept in the same book as those for Columbia [see Portfolio 5/1226] and the two boats used some of the same drawings. She was broken up in 1860. |
