Two 20 horse power side lever boat engines, with 26¾ inch cylinders, 2½ foot strokes.

Plan and longitudinal and cross-sections of the engine room, plan of the boiler and views of the paddle wheel bearers etc. - 2 sheets of partially coloured drawings sent by J. B. Humphreys; headstock framing etc. - shaded drawing marked "see also Darthez Bros."; plan of engines and paddle wheel; longitudinal section and plan of the boiler - partially coloured reverse drawing; side view of the engine and cross-section of the boiler, cross-section of the boat and engines - reverse drawings; spur wheels and part of paddle wheel - original and reverse drawings (the reverse drawing has a drawing of rings, hoops and plummer blocks for the paddle wheels on the same sheet); shafts - original and reverse drawings; steam pipes - reverse drawings; damper apparatus, feeding apparatus, safety pipes and gearing - coloured original and coloured reverse drawings; sketch of headstock frames; small drawing of paddle wheel; safety valve etc. (also used for East London Water Works). All the drawings except the first 2 and the last 3 items bear letter codes.

For a German customer. J. B. Humphreys of Manchester was the agent. YR was the starboard engine and YW the port.
