Two 10 horse power side lever boat engines, with 20 inch cylinders, 2 foot strokes.

Cross-section of the boat and engine room and plan of the engines and boiler etc., side view of engine and cross-section of the boiler and side view of paddle wheel - coloured reverse drawings; 10 foot paddle wheels, safety pipe and valve and gearing - coloured original and coloured reverse drawings; plan of the steam, feed and injection pipes etc.; small sketch plan of the boiler; small section of the boat dated Aug. 1819 and marked "Section of the Speedwell Diana" and "Richmond boat proposed". All the drawings except the paddle and steam pipe drawings and the last 2 items bear letter codes.

For London to Sheerness services? The boat appears to have originally been called Speedwell. The boat was built from larch wood supplied by the Duke of Athol.
