Two 3 horse power sun & planet engines, with 10½ inch cylinders, 3 foot strokes, direct connections, A frames.
Side view of the engine and boiler, plan of the engine and boiler, cylinder and air pump, condensing vessel and foot valve, nozzles, perpendicular steam pipes and perpendicular motion, working gear, parts of chain pump and shaft, boiler, chain pump, side view and plan of the engines - reverse drawings. All the drawings bear letter codes.

For the Birmingham Canal Co. These two engines were mounted in boats, and used during the construction of the summit locks. One was sold to the Dublin Canal Co. in 1792, and the other was sold to a Mr. Dumeresque.
