Double-acting engine, with 45 inch cylinder, 8 foot stroke, parallel motion.

For North Downs Mines. This engine is described on the drawings and in the Engine Book as being for "North Downs Wheal Fortune". However the List of Engines made at Soho says that it was for Wheal Briggan (or Brigan), also part of North Downs Mines. It lists it as still being at Wheal Briggan in May 1798. |
