General view of the engine and T bobs (this drawing shows the engine with a 2 bar motion), plan of the engine and boiler and cross-section of the boiler - reverse drawings; condenser and air pump for "Wheal Mount, Wheal Wreath etc.", section and plan of condenser vessel, plan of air pump and eduction pipe foot for Wheal Crenver No. 2, Apr. 1786 - 3 small drawing stuck together to form 1 sheet; parallel motion - reverse drawing; steam pipes; saddle plate for little perpendicular link - reverse drawing; front and side views of the working gear; "machinery for adjusting the opening of the valves", lower sliders of the plug - reverse drawings. Cornwall, a partnership between Boulton, Watt, Thomas Wilson and William Murdock established in 1785. The engine was stopped in Sep. 1787 and sold to Christopher Gullett of Beer Ferris Mine in Devon, who had it converted to a rotative engine with sun and planet gear. See also: Portfolio 5/1282b. |
