The List of Engines made at Soho calls this engine the "Poldory Double", and notes that it was still at work in May 1798. However John Southern's List of Books says that the engine was for Ale & Cakes Mine, as do Dickinson & Jenkins [p. 343], who call the engine "New Ale & Cakes".
