For Sir John W. Lubbock, Bart. On 29 Sep. 1842 Henry Wollaston Blake wrote to Sir John Lubbock offering him a 2 horse engine for £150. [Letter Book, Sep. 1841-Mar. 1843]. Engine Order Book No. 9 records a 2 horse engine coded JR being made at this time, but it does not note who it was sold to. |
