6 horse power independent crank engine, with parallel motion, [cast iron beam, cast iron connecting rod]. Engine formerly belonged to Boulton Watt & Co., Soho Foundry.

For I. H. Machu, 13 Twister's Alley, Bunhill Row, St. Luke's, London. This engine may have originally worked in the 14 horse shop at Soho Foundry, as the General Order Book 1842-1867 notes that Machu is to have "the old 6 horse engine." This engine was omitted from the Catalogue of Old Engines. |
