| Description | Drawings for the Albion Mill and its engines originally occupied 3 Drawing Office Books, but how they were divided and arranged within those books is not known. John Southern does not appear to have given the books a number, but by the time of the Drawing Office Index they had been numbered 82*, despite the fact that a No. 82, a book of drawings for Aitchisons & Brown, already existed. Hazleton placed all the Albion Mill drawings in one portfolio and numbered it 152.
In order to make them more comprehensible, the drawings have now been divided into three series, as follows: a - drawings relating to the first engine; b - drawings relating to the second engine; c - drawings of the mill building and millwork. |
