Coloured original and reverse general view of the engine, coloured original and reverse plans and sections of the engine and boilers; reverse plan and sections of the engine and boiler houses, framing and cistern (one of the drawings is on the reverse of a crossed out drawing of framing and cistern for John Philp & Co.); parallel motion - coloured original drawing; working gear - coloured original front and side views. All the drawings bear letter codes.
Also parallel motion - reverse drawing. This drawing was used as a standard drawing for parallel motions for 6, 8, 10 and 12 horse engines; it includes drawings of all the component parts and various sets of dimensions. It was originally drawn in Jun. 1797, coded DGB and is described by the Drawings Day Book as "Parallel Motion 6, 8, 10, 12 for the Foundry." The original was sent to the Foundry. It was then used as the basis for the parallel motion drawings for the following engines, each drawing being given a new code: ETC Amatt & Co. 12 horse, ESK Stephenson & Green 12 horse, FWL Kennedy & Nuttall 8 horse.
