For Daintry Ryle & Co. Cotton mill, Macclesfield. The drawings sometimes refer to the firm as "Daintry & Ryle" while the Catalogue of Old Engines calls them "Daintry Royle & Co." Drawings of the steam apparatus bought in 1805 [see Portfolio 5/363] call the firm Daintry Ryle & Daintry. In early 1805 it became T. S. Daintry & Co., then Wood Daintry & Wood. |
