For Easterby Hall & Co., Bill Quay [?], Gateshead. Engine Order Book No. 4 notes that various materials intended for an engine for Koops Tate & Co. were used in this engine. The engine was sold to Hawks Longridge & Co. of Newcastle upon Tyne in 1803. This engine appears to have been omitted from the Catalogue of Old Engines and it is unclear exactly what it was originally purchased for, as Easterby Hall & Co. purchased several engines. |
