6 horse power double-acting crank engine, with 14¾ inch cylinder, 3 foot stroke, parallel motion, cast iron connecting rod.

For George Wright. Colliery pumping and winding [?] engine, Hornby Castle, Lancashire. According to the List of Engines made at Soho, the engine was not erected until 1802. Hazleton listed this engine among the pumping engines rather than the crank engines. |
