270. Kennedy & Nuttall, Manchester (KN). Oct. 1799, Jan. 1800. 11 items. 8 horse power double-acting crank engine, with 16 inch cylinder, 4 foot stroke, parallel motion.
Coloured original and reverse general view of the engine, coloured original and reverse plans and sections of the engine and boiler; reverse plan and sections of framing and cistern; parallel motion - coloured original drawing; working gear - coloured original front and side views. All the drawings bear letter codes.

For James Kennedy and Christopher Nuttall. Cotton mill, Manchester. According to the Catalogue of Old Engines, the mill was "at their colliery, situate in Manchester", and the engine was later sold to a Mr. Westerman.
