277. William & John Elliott, Nottingham (E). Feb., Mar., May 1800. 14 items. 6 horse power double-acting crank engine, with 14¾ inch cylinder, 3 foot stroke, parallel motion, cast iron connecting rod.
Coloured original and reverse general view of the engine and boilers, coloured original and reverse plan and sections of the engine and boilers; reverse plans and sections of the framing, boilers and cistern; working gear - coloured original front and side views. All the drawings bear letter codes. Also ground plan of the premises, with position of engine pencilled in; letter from Matthew Etchells, dated Nottingham, 6 Mar. 1800, with coloured plan of the engine house and boilers and sketch elevation of fly wheel, regulating line and boilers.
