| Description | 11 horse power sun & planet engine, with 18 inch cylinder, 4 foot stroke, link and roller motion. Engine formerly at Wheal Towan.
Includes reverse general view of the engine, plans and sections of the engine, boiler, engine house and winding spiral, external elevation of the engine house; plan and elevation of the winding spiral; cistern.
Also ground plan of a forge engine connected to two tilt hammers, and notes on the speed, weight etc. of hammers. [ These do not appear to relate to the winding engine, but may be for one of Morris' forge engines - possibly a conversion from an atmospheric engine]. The Catalogue of Old Engines speculates that these are by William Murdock.
