282. John Addenbrooke, Moorcroft Iron Works (A). Jun., Jul., Sep. 1800, Jun. 1801, Jun. 1808. 14 items. 36 horse power double-acting crank engine, with 30¾ inch cylinder, 6 foot stroke, parallel motion, cast iron connecting rod.
Coloured original and reverse general view of the engine and boiler, coloured original and reverse plans and sections of the engine and boiler; reverse plan and sections of the engine and boiler houses and framing (one of the drawings is on the back of a drawing showing a pumping engine with parallel motions at both ends of the beam), reverse drawings of the cistern; plan of the air pump and condenser - reverse drawing; working gear - coloured original and reverse front and side views; parallel motion - coloured original drawing; crank - reverse drawing dated Jun. 1801. Also reverse drawings of new working gear, dated 23 Jun. 1808 (this is on the reverse of coloured cistern and fly framing drawings for Mr. Richardson, Apr. 1801); plan of wheels and shafts connecting the engine to rolls and shears, marked "sketch by John Haden, 16 Jun. 1808."
