295. Adam & George Murray, Manchester (M). Mar.-May, Aug., Sep. 1801, Feb., Aug. 1802. 21 items. 40 horse power crank engine, with 31½ inch cylinder, 7 foot stroke, parallel motion, cast iron beam, cast iron connecting rod. Also fire extinguishing apparatus, 1802.
Coloured original and reverse general view of the engine and boilers, coloured original and reverse plan of the engine and boilers and longitudinal section of the boiler; reverse plan and sections of the engine and boiler houses and framing, drawings of the cistern; spur wheels, plummer block and working beam pillars and plate to go across the engine house, working beam, piston rod cap and gudgeons (full size drawings) - all reverse; plan of the cylinder, air pump and condenser; parallel motion - coloured original and reverse drawings (the reverse drawing is marked "Parallel Motion 40 and 45").
