Original Portfolio or 'Book' No. 110. Catalogue of Old Engines p. 22.
For Henry Goodwyn & Co. Brewery, St. Botolph, Aldgate, East Smithfield, London. Hazleton does not separate Goodwyn's two engines in the Catalogue of Old Engines, but says that the earlier one was made double acting. However the correspondence makes it clear that this 8 horse engine replaced the original which was completely destroyed by fire. The concern later became Goodwyn & Co.
