40 horse power crank engine, with 31½ inch cylinder, 7 foot stroke, parallel motion, cast iron beam, cast iron connecting rod.
Also fire extinguishing apparatus, sizing apparatus.

Reverse general view of the engine and 3 boilers, plan of the engine and boilers, longitudinal section of boiler; longitudinal section of the engine house and cross-section of the boilers, plan of the engine and boiler houses, cross-sections of the engine house - reverse drawings (copies made in Nov. and Dec. 1827); parallel motion - reverse drawings (this was a standard drawing of parallel motion for 40 and 45 horse engines, with copies at the Foundry and Manufactory). All the drawings bear letter codes.
