323. Pease Wray & Trigg, Hull (P). Nov., Dec. 1802, Jun. 1803. 9 items. 24 horse power double-acting crank engine, with 25ΒΌ inch cylinder, 6 foot stroke, parallel motion, cast iron beam, cast iron connecting rod.
Coloured original and reverse general section and plan of the engine; reverse sketch plan of the engine house; reverse plan and sections of the engine house and framing; parallel motion - coloured original drawing; working gear - coloured original and reverse front and side views (the reverse copy was also used for drawing IDS, Wilkes, 25 Feb. 1804), also coloured direct copy on tracing paper. All the drawings bear letter codes. Also letter from J. R. Pease Wray & Trigg dated Hull, 27 Nov. 1802, with sketch plan of the engine and boiler houses and oil mill, docketed by M. R. Boulton "Particulars of their present engine house and mill. Think that an engine with a larger stroke than 5 feet cannot be applied in their situation, without removing the rotative shaft. Propose therefore to employ a less engine. Enquire if Mr. Lawson has found a customer for their present engine."
