351. William Hussey & Co., Glasgow (RR). Apr., Jun., Aug., Oct. 1804, May 1830. 7 items. 14 horse power double-acting crank engine, with 20¾ inch cylinder, 4 foot stroke, parallel motion, cast iron beam, cast iron connecting rod.
Reverse general view of the engine, plan of the engine and boiler; reverse plan and sections of the engine house, boiler and framing; sketch plan and sections of the engine, engine house, boiler and part of mill, with notes dated Glasgow, 28 Apr. 1804 (notes and sketches by William Creighton?); letter from William Creighton dated Glasgow, 2 Aug. 1804, with plan and section of the engine house as built. All the drawings except the last 3 items bear letter codes. Also drawing of nozzles and valves, 18 May 1830.
