Description10 horse double-acting sun & planet engine, with 17½ inch cylinder, 4 foot stroke, parallel motion.

Includes coloured original and reverse general view of the engine, coloured original and reverse plans and sections of the engine and boiler and engine house showing connection to winding gear, outside of boiler, winding drum, side view of pump beam showing its connection to the engine beam; parallel motion - original coloured and reverse copy; working gear - coloured original and reverse plans and front and side views - the reverse drawings were initially drawn for John Cartwright's abortive 10 horse engine in Nov. 1788; injection gear - coloured original and reverse plan and side views; bevel pinions; sheet of calculations for the engine (by John Southern?) dated 9 Feb. 1789. All drawings bear letter codes.
