453. Strange & Webber, Trowbridge (WW). Dec. 1814. 6 items. 14 horse power double-acting crank engine, with 20¾ inch cylinder, 4 foot stroke, parallel motion, cast iron beam, cast iron connecting rod.
Reverse plan and sections of the engine and boiler houses and boilers (the longitudinal section of the engine house has a governor pencilled in); letter from James Watt Jr. dated Trowbridge, 9 Dec. 1814, with sketch of engine house and fulling mill; press copy sketch plan and section dated 17 Dec. 1814.
