36 horse power double-acting crank engine, with 30¾ inch cylinder, 6 foot stroke, parallel motion, cast iron beam, cast iron connecting rod.

For Bott Birch & Co. Cotton mill, Nantwich. This engine replaced the firm's original 24 horse power sun and planet engine [see Portfolio 5/118].
