Reverse side elevation and plan of general arrangement of the engine marked "Sent to Mr. Rennie 24 Jul. 1789" (2 drawings on 1 sheet, coded HE); plan of the engine and brewery showing horse wheel, shafts, malt stones etc., 8 Aug. 1789.
Original Portfolio or 'Book' No. 121. Catalogue of Old Engines p. 48.
For Julius Shephard. Rennie spells his name "Shepherd" in his letters. Brewery, Faversham. This engine appears to have been based on the 3 horse engine made for the Birmingham Canal Co. earlier in the year, as the Drawings Day Book records drawing HE as being a "plan and elevation of Birmingham Canal small engine sent to Mr. Rennie."
