477. John & Nathaniel Philips & Co., Tean Hall (VC). Aug. 1822, Jun., Jul. 1866, Jan. 1867, Jul., Aug., Oct. 1870. 23 items. 40 horse power double-acting crank engine, with 32½ inch cylinder, 6 foot stroke, parallel motion, [cast iron beam, cast iron connecting rod].
Coloured reverse plan and sections of the engine and boiler houses and 3 boilers, plan of the tunnel; 3 small undated sheets of pencil sketches of boilers, cylinder etc. The reverse drawings bear letter codes. Also drawings for new working gear, 1866: working gear components, Jun. 1866; general arrangement of driving gear for new nozzles, Jul. 1866; exhaust cam, working gear cam, working gear crank, piston rod, working gear shaft, air pump rod - small undated and uncoded drawings from 1866 [?].
