Almost all the drawings bear letter codes.

For John Dunkin Sr., corn merchant, of The Paragon, St. George, London, and Mr. -Stibbs. Corn mill, Shad Thames, St. Johns, Southwark, London. Dunkin requested that Stibb's name not appear on the engine agreement as he was not directly connected with Dunkin's business. By 1795 the firm had become Dunkin & Brown, and in the same year they sold the engine to a William Thompson.
