36 horse power crank engine, with 30¾ inch cylinder, 6 foot stroke, parallel motion, cast iron beam, cast iron connecting rod.

Reverse plan and sections of the engine and boiler houses and boilers, plan of the tunnel; partially coloured plan and section of the engine and 1 boiler, sent by James Fairweather, 19 Mar. 1825. All the drawings except the last item bear letter codes.

For Vernon Royle. Silk mill, Manchester. The engine was actually made in 1819, but not appropriated to to Royle until Apr. 1825.
