For Joseph Baker, Thomas Cooper, Kempe Brydges and Christopher Teesdale. Bleaching works, Raikes, near Bolton, Lancashire - the engine pumped water and drove dashing wheels. The firm was formerly Baker & Cooper, but changed to Joseph Baker & Co. circa Jun. 1790, while the engine was under construction. In 1793 the bleaching works passed to John Horridge.
